Ban against theatrical productions is repealed.

(Fall) Meeting at Faneuil Hall, town meeting instructs Boston’s representatives to the General Court to support repeal against theatrical productions. Samuel Adams is shouted down when he speaks in favor of continuing the ban. The attempted repeal is defeated in the General Court on January 25, 1792.
